SynergyWorks Privacy Statement
SynergyWorks is committed to our customers' privacy as described in this statement.

About this policy
This privacy policy outlines how we (SynergyWorks Internet) will handle any information that we store on our systems. We have the highest respect for your privacy and will take every step to protect your information. We provide this document so you are aware of how your information will be used by us. This policy applies both to visitors to our website and our customers.

SynergyWorks gives you access to certain information about you for the purpose of viewing and, in certain cases, updating that information. To view or change this information, log-in to your account.

Hosting Services
We will never sell or release your email address to third parties. We do however, reserve to right to contact you with promotional offers or other information related to our products and/or services. We will never send you emails unrelated to our web hosting and domain name services. You will only be sent these emails if you have previously agreed to receive promotional email from us.

Your email account is protected by a password chosen by you, which is encrypted within our Mail Server. No staff member has 'plain text' access to your passwords. Messages which flow through our email servers, are NOT logged.

SynergyWorks disclaims any intention to censor, edit, or engage in review or surveillance of communications stored on or transmitted through its facilities by customers or others, other than to troubleshoot an account. SynergyWorks will, however, review, delete, or block access to communications that may harm SynergyWorks, its customers or third parties. This process is automated by our servers and is purely for protection of our network from SPAM and Virus infection.

Like most standard website servers, we use log files. This includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyse trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information to aggregate use. Log files are also used to identify and correct website errors. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Ordering Hosting
We will request contact information, such as your name, mailing address, email address, phone numbers, and credit card numbers when a hosting account is ordered. This information is used for billing information, processing credit card charges, and contacting you in regards to your hosting account. If there is a problem while processing an order, this information is used to contact you.

Domain names
When ordering a domain from us we will provide your details to the domain name registry so that you are named as the rightful owner. This means your details will become available to the public. If you do not wish this to happen please notify us before ordering.

Spammers and fraudsters
If you are found to have engaged in spamming or fraud with us we may provide your details to various third parties in order to prevent further abuse.

Information Use
The information collected is strictly for contacting a user with interest in services, or has already setup services. We will not give or sell your information to any third party under any circumstances.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. We MAY use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once a user closes the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. The user can remove persistent cookies at any time. Session cookies are used to identify users after they have logged in. This may be necessary for our password-protected areas. Personal information such as email addresses, credit card numbers, or passwords are never set in the cookie. Only a unique identifier is present to identify a user to our software, for a more personal experience.

Third Party Advertising
SynergyWorks may at its discretion display advertising on its web site to promote products or services sold or distributed by SynergyWorks. SynergyWorks will not display advertising for products and services for a third party.

Service Announcements
On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. Generally, users may opt-out of these communications.

Customer Service
We communicate with users to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account, we reply via email or phone, in accordance with the users' wishes.

Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding.

Links
The SynergyWorks website may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that we, SynergyWorks, are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site that they are not covered by our privacy policy, and to read the privacy statements of each and every company that collects identifiable information.

Security
SynergyWorks takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information their information is protected both online and off-line. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is access restricted.

The datacenter that house the servers is a Class-A datacenter with restricted access. The datacenter is only accessible to a select few, and requires several security measures to enter. The servers themselves are also in locked server racks for added security. If users have any questions about the security they can send an email to us at: helpdesk@synergysupport.net

Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
